Summer Camp 2012

Middle School Programs

NEW -- One-Week Sampler (rising 6-9th graders) Get a little taste of everything before camp even starts. Located in Maryland at the Landon School!

NEW -- Middle School Play-Making (rising 5-7th graders) A two-week mini-camp that makes an original short play based on Greek mythology. A great place for newcomers!

Middle School Ensemble (rising 6-9th graders) Challenging roles wrapped into ensemble shows. A brilliant introduction to Traveling Players and to classical theatre.

High School Programs

High School Ensemble (rising 9-12th graders) A brilliant introduction to Shakespeare, advanced acting technique and backpacking with a sweet 3-day tour. The best place to hone your skills and work on your Shakespeare chops!

Technical Theatre (rising 9-12th graders) Work with professional designers and artists to create sets and costumes for the shows. Tech campers are a full part of the camp community, and go on tour with one of the high school groups.

High School Improvisation Intensive (rising 9-12th graders) One fantastic week of improv games, spontaneous scenes and outrageous fun.

Advanced Programs

Commedia Troupe (rising 9-12th graders) - Intensive training in physical comedy, improvisation, mask, creating a show with an ensemble and making it come alive with a week-long tour. Perfect for clowns, quick thinkers and athletic performers!

Traveling Troupe (rising 10-12th graders) - Intensive and advanced training in Shakespeare, acting technique, textual interpretation, the performer's voice and body, and a two week tour mimicking a professional tour. A big commitment - with even bigger rewards!

Special Programs

Internships (rising 9-12th graders) Lend a hand in the shops, assist the directors, usher for festivals - a great way to spend a little more of your summer at TPE.

Film Crew (rising 9-12th graders) Get behind the camera to document your ensemble's rehearsals, tour and performances.

Rising 9th graders: You have choices! You can do the MSE, the HSE and/or the Commedia Troupe.
