"Her personality has just blossomed and she has more than ever voiced an 'I am ready to take on the world' attitude." - Parent

Middle School Ensemble 2012

Session 1: June 25 - July 20
Session 2: July 23 - August 17

Perform in comedies that embrace the true spirit of the wandering entertainer!

Working in an ensemble of up to 13 actors, the Middle School Ensemble rehearses a classical play under the direction of a master teacher. Rehearsals focus on character creation, objectives, performance energy, vocal technique, physical engagement and ensemble training. Outdoor rehearsals and weekly campouts teach basic outdoor skills: learn to cook on a fire, set up a tent and avoid poison ivy! Swimming, outdoors games, all-camp revels, low ropes and fun-filled rides on our purple buses all add up to four fantastic weeks.

Great for all levels of experience. No audition is required. Campers can register for either session, or for both sessions to perform in both shows.

The Plays

TPE brings back two of its favorite plays: The Blue Monster by Carlo Gozzi and The Scams of Scapin by Moliere. These classic comedies feature clever con artists, thwarted lovers, confused old men, long-lost siblings, disguises magical and mundane, tricks, curses, a seven-headed hydra, and one of the most famous stage combat scenes ever written!
