A Typical Day at Traveling Players Summer Camp

8:00 - 8:45 Get on a Purple Bus
Play improvisation games on the bus.

9:00 - 9:10 Arrive at Madeira
It's an awesome campus.

9:10 - 9:30 Morning Revels
Fun and games with the whole camp!

9:40 - 10:00 Warm-ups
Physical and vocal training.

10:00 - 12:15 Morning Rehearsals
Development of character and relationship, choreographing fight scenes, acting techniques, blocking, running scenes and lines.

12:15 - 1:00 Lunch
Bring your own or order one from our deli.

1:00 - 2:30 Class
Changes every day. A typical week:

    Mon: Movement (stage combat or Laban)
    Tues: Voice (breathing, resonance, articulation, projection)
    Wed: Improvisation (imagination, group mind, & impulses)
    Thurs: Film (compare/contrast film & theatre acting techniques)
    Fri: Swimming (critical to actor training!)

2:30 - 3:50 Afternoon Rehearsal

4:00 Get on a purple bus
Run lines with your friends or play games.

4:00 - 5:00 Get off a purple bus
Don't worry - we'll be back tomorrow!

(On Thursdays we camp out, pitch tents and roast marshmallows! Awesomeness!)
