Erik Mayes (he/they) is excited to join Traveling Players for the first time, working in the costume shop! He recently graduated from VCU with his BA in Costume Design and Performance. He recently designed This Is Our Youth and co-designed Noises Off for the Student Alliance Laboratory Theatre at VCU, and on the technical side, worked crafts for VCU’s James and the Giant Peach and stitching for Intimate Apparel. He can’t wait to combine passions for childcare and theatre into one this summer. Erik is based in Richmond and spends his time when he’s not doing theatre playing guitar, longingly looking at animals available for adoption, and working on more personal illustration/printing projects.
