Shakespeare Scene Study Showcase

This showcase is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Please RSVP to secure your tickets.

About the Class:

Shakespeare Scene Study teaches students how to use advanced literary analysis to deepen their understanding of character in performance. Using the bard’s beloved gender-bending comedies As You Like It and Twelfth Night, students are asked to explore the historical context in which the plays were written, grapple with the ways contemporary audiences can interpret these plays, and inhabit these beloved characters as they perform gender by staging scenes from these plays.
