Leah Block (she/her) is a rising senior at the University of Michigan. She is pursuing a BFA in Performance: Directing with a minor in Social Class and Inequality. Her most recent credits include directing Twilight Bowl by Rebecca Gilman, assistant directing the University’s production of Antigone and assistant stage managing the University’s production of Hair. She is currently working on The Humans by Stephen Karam. Some of her favorite projects have been acting in the Basement Arts devised production of SHE and collaborating on a student project of Simple Verses in Technicolor. Recently, she had the most amazing opportunity working on the Prison Creative Arts Project through her Theatre and Incarceration class. She went into Cotton Correctional Facility once a week to lead a theatre workshop with five of her classmates. She hopes to pursue a career that combines therapy and theatre into a program for underprivileged youth. This will be her second summer with Traveling Players and she is very excited to teach the Acting Studio day camp.
