Traveling Players acting day camps offer the perfect opportunity for young actors to expand their imaginations -- building confidence and performance skills while sparking new friendships. 

In 2021, Traveling Players was honored to receive ArtsFairfax's Arts Education Award for decades of exceptional camps and classes.

Day camps are located in our Studio in Tysons Corner Center.

This one-week summer acting camp introduces your child to the world of theatre with acting, improv, and stage combat—plus a showcase performance, all taught in a fun, relaxed environment.  Campers perform scenes and improvisational games at the Showcase performance on Friday afternoon.  Our Acting Studio day camp is great on its own. For our current third graders, you can also join us for Act: FIVE, the perfect first sleepaway camp – only five days!

This two-week summer acting camp encourages students to dive into the world of a play and connect with their new friends as characters.  Acting, improvisation, and stage combat are taught in a fun, relaxed environment. All the campers will read the same play and then rehearse scenes from it.  They will sequentially perform their scenes at the Showcase performance on Friday afternoon. 
 
Don't want to leave camp? Act: FIVE has all the fun of day camp, with the full immersion of sleepaway!

Camp Overview & Learning Focus

This one-week summer acting camp introduces your child to the world of theatre with acting, improv, and stage combat—plus a showcase performance, all taught in a fun, relaxed environment.  Campers perform scenes and improvisational games at the Showcase performance on Friday afternoon.  Great for beginners, our Acting Studio day camp is great on its own, and can even be repeated.

For our current third graders, you can also join us for Players Studio or Act: FIVE, the perfect first sleepaway camp – only five days!

Acting, improvisation, and stage combat are taught in a fun, relaxed environment. Camp culminates in a Showcase performance on Friday afternoon.
